Scot Hayward

Scot is the running warrior at the store, and wishes he could be here all of the time. He is an avid marathon runner and is planning on completing 50 marathons in 50 states.  Scot finished his first hundred miler last September and is now a proud owner of an Umstead 100 Miler belt buckle finishing in under 20 hours! This year Scot continues to strive for even greater distances! This fall he was the first ever to complete the Blue Ridge 211 Mile Relay solo, by passing the wrist band to himself at each exchange!

Brittany Richards

Brittany is a student at Lenoir Rhyne University.  In her free time she enjoys hiking, camping, and staying active with her friends.  Even though she doesn't do much running herself, she is passionate about helping others achieve their goals.  She hopes to eventually run a half marathon once she catches that running bug.

Sara Poovey

Sara grew up in Hickory and graduated from CVCC in Business Administration.  Sara and her husband, David, live in Hickory and have a son, Connor.  She enjoys running and has completed 2 half marathons in 2011.   She is passionate about helping people and hopes to encourage them to begin running or walking.  She enjoys playing sports and spending time with her family and friends.

Tyler Matthews

Tyler graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne University in 2006 with a Bachelor in Sports Management. He had been coaching since 2001. He enjoys spending time running and helping out others achieve their goals. You can always see him enjoying the monthly social run and dressing up with the monthly theme! He hopes to continue running races and looking forward to getting into triathlons. 

Lora Drum

Lora graduated from Appalachian State University in 2007 with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science.  Running has become her passion over the last year, allowing her to complete her first 10K, half marathon and triathlon with more races to come.  She hopes to complete a marathon and more triathlons in the coming year.  When not running, she can be found in the kitchen baking up delicious cupcakes and cake pops!

Carey Huntley

Carey grew up in Chesnee, SC and graduated from Winthrop University with a Bachelor's in Physical Education.  During her time at Winthrop, she competed on the track and cross country teams where she broke the 2 school records for the 3K and 10K.  She loves to encourage others and help them find their inner runner.  She also enjoys spending time with her husband, Joseph, and loves to crochet stuffed animals.

Weston Drum

Weston graduated from Appalachian State university in 2007 with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology.  He can be found running and cycling all over Catawba County and has run in half marathons and 10K races and hopes to do a full marathon and a triathlon within the year.
