The Caldwell County Invitational was held this year on September 2nd at Lenoir Aquatic and Fitness Center. The meet featured 28 high schools and three middle schools.

A few words from Hickory High’s coaches on this past week's CVAC meet held at St. Stephens High School:
Claudia Mundy, HHS and Dalton Miller, SSHS
Coach Sloop: “It is always nice to see a big turn out at a cross country meet. Coach Lori and the other coaches did an outstanding job running the meet off. It looks on the boys side that Brian Yates and the rest Coach Crowe’s Fred T. Foard team are the team to beat this year. On the girls side Claudia Mundy led a strong Hickory team which dominated the field.”
Coach Hamilton: “Meet was close with the girls . There are several good individual runners on each team. The team competition will be decided by who gets better over the next couple of weeks. There are 3-4 teams that could be conf. champs”
