Meet the Staff

Jon Sharp
Jon is a Lenoir-Rhyne graduate with a degree in History & French.  Jon ran cross country for L-R and is one of their assistant coaches this season. Jon can be seen leading our Tuesday Speed night group or crossing the finish line at the local races.  Jon completed the Memphis Marathon in 2008, qualified for and ran Boston in 2009. 

Scot Hayward
Scot is the running warrior at the store, and wishes he could be here all of the time. He is an avid marathon runner and is planning on completing 50 marathons in 50 states.  Scot finished his first hundred miler last September and is now a proud owner of an Umstead 100 Miler beltbuckle finishing in under 20 hours! This year Scot continues to strive for even greater distances! This fall he was the first ever to complete the Blue Ridge 211 Mile Relay solo, by passing the wrist band to himself at each exchange! Stay tuned for 2010!

Celeste Brinkley
Celeste is known for all of her work as a Team In Training (TNT) coach. She joined TNT in Jan. of 2004 and has been a walk coach since Feb. 2005. She completed her first marathon in 2004 and has done several half marathons since then.  Celeste can be seen at the local finish lines cheering people on.  Working with people and helping them to meet their goals is one of her greatest passions. She organizes and leads all of our training groups aside from her many duties in the store.

Andrew Campbell
Andrew is a graduate of Clemson University with a BS in Psychology. "Training to Run" is a new concept for Andrew, but he caught the bug in August and hasn't looked back. When he is not working or running he's struggling with massive weights at the gym or struggling even more on the golf course. 

Allison DuCharme                                                                                                          Allie began running for her high school in the Rockies. She loves being outside with the trees all around her. She has hiked various parts of the Appalachain Trail with hopes of completing it from start to finish, with her son. She has hiked 178 miles of the Rockies into Canada. Her real passion is trail runs and hopes to complete a trail marathon in the next year.

Benjamin Lowry                                                                                          Benjamin runs high school cross-country at HCA and loves to run any race. He has completed four half marathons and countless 5k's. He is planning to a great cross country season this fall!

Taylor Pisel                                                                                                            Taylor is a recent graduate of Hickory High school and will be attending Davidson College in the fall where she will play volleyball. To date her major is undecided but likes to study English.

Ronnie Powell                                                                                                         Ronnie was a two time All-State runner in High School who continues to run with his two kids- Taylor and Carter. He has coached middle school cross country for five years and loves to train for long distances.

Brittany Richards                                                                                                           Brittany plays basketball and softball for her school, Fred T. Foard. In her free time she enjoys hiking, camping, and staying active with her friends. She plans on attending Lenior Rhyne and majoring in nursing.

Sara Poovey                                                                                                        Sara has recently found the love for running and just completed her first 5k. She hopes to one day run a marathon! She is passionate about helping people and hopes to encourage them to begin running or walking. She enjoys playing sports and spending time with her family and friends.

Steve Bumgarner                                                                                                   Steve is a retired educator, having taught Physical Education, coached several sports, and served as a school principle. Having adopted the challenge of being " younger next year" in retirement, his 2nd career at Fleet Feet is exciting and fun!
